How long before I can stairgate up?
After 12 months of being a shared owner*
How long before I can stairgate up 100% and own the property I live in in its entirety?
After 12 months* You must organise and obtain a RICS valuation
( the cost for which you are liable)
What is the cost to staircase for the resident?
If increasing your share but not to 100% you will be responsible for any solicitor fees and valuation fees which are currently around £750 but may change. For an up to date cost value, please contact the WHT.
If you are buying the whole of WHT's share and intending on owning the property in its entirety, you will only be required to pay your own legal fees.
*( Subject to board approval which requires agreement on the valuation and complies with correct disposing of a charitable asset)
