About us

Winchester Housing Trust is an independent Charity and a Limited Company set up in 1987 to provide affordable housing in the South of England.

We work very closely with Winchester City Council and other local authorities and ensure that all of our rented properties are allocated via nominations from those individuals and families that apply through the housing register.

What we do

We are a provider of affordable housing for communities throughout the South of England.

The Trust offers a range of affordable options for people in housing need including traditional rental, shared ownership and a new option of Rent to Buy.

Our range gives individuals and families a chance to see which route fits the individuals situation best currently and how applicants might progress their housing situation in future.

The Trust is a not-for-profit charity with a committed and experienced board of volunteer directors who oversee the governance of the organisation and help to shape future strategy.

Andrew Simpson, the Chief Executive, is responsible for the operational and smooth running of the Trust as well as developing opportunities which help to add more options to the portfolio for our applicants.
