Building Communities Since 1987

Winchester Housing Trust is an independent charity and limited company set up in 1987 to provide affordable housing in the South of England.

We work closely with Winchester City Council and other local authorities to ensure our rented properties are allocated via nominations from individuals and families who apply through the housing register.

Modern residential affordable housing development in Winchester

Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable homes while fostering sustainable, supportive communities where our residents can thrive.

What we do

We are a provider of affordable housing for communities throughout the South of England.

The Trust offers a range of affordable options for people in housing need, including traditional rental and Shared Ownership

Our range gives individuals and families a chance to see which route fits their situation best currently, and how applicants might progress their housing situation in future.

The Trust is a not-for-profit charity with a committed and experienced board of volunteer directors who oversee the governance of the organisation and help to shape future strategy.

Andrew Simpson, the Chief Executive, is responsible for the operational and smooth running of the Trust, as well as developing opportunities which help to add more options to the portfolio for applicants.
