Winchester Housing Trust has 50 rental properties in its portfolio made up of 1 bedroom flats, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom houses. The main consolidation of properties are located in Wales Street and Colson Road in Winnall, Micheldever and some in Kingsworthy.

The Trust will generally allocate properties to those individuals who are registered with the Hampshire Home Choice scheme but occasionally through our own waiting list. Under our tenancy agreements tenants are obliged to carry out their own basic maintenance whilst more complex areas are the responsibility of the Trust. The document shown below clearly identifies what the Trust will cover and what the tenants responsibility is in this respect.

Repair Responsibilities

We welcome non-urgent repairs by e-mail (melinda@winchesterhousingtrust.co.uk or charlotte@winchesterhousingtrust.co.uk) or you can call the office at any time on 01962 790 588. If your problem is an emergency and out of office hours, you can leave a message and it will be picked up by one of our staff members.
An emergency is one or all of the following:

  • Flood and water damage to your home
  • Loss of electricity
  • Loss of heat
Urgent repairs will be attended to immediately. We will provide you with a timescale for non-urgent repairs within 48 hours of the problem being notified to us. Costly repairs such as replacement doors and windows will be carried out on a maintenance schedule and you will be kept informed of the replacement timescale.
